Editor
Ravi Shankar is poet-in-residence
at Central Connecticut State University. His first book
Instrumentality, is due out in Summer 2004 from Word Press.
His work has previously appeared or is forthcoming in
such places as The Paris Review, Poets & Writers,
Time Out New York, Gulf Coast, The Massachusetts Review,
Descant, LIT, Crowd, The Cortland Review, Catamaran, The
Indiana Review, Western Humanities Review, The Iowa Review
and The AWP Writer's Chronicle, among other publications.
He has read at such venues as The National Arts Club,
Columbia University, KGB, and the Cornelia Street Café,
has held residencies from the MacDowell Colony, Ragdale,
and the Atlantic Center for the Arts, reviews poetry for
the Contemporary
Poetry Review and is currently editing an anthology
of South Asian, East Asian, and Middle Eastern poetry.

Michael K. Mills is
a visual artist and graphic designer living in Brooklyn,
New York. His most recent exhibition, Human
v. Nature, at Fancyland Gallery in Los Angeles,
was a two person exhibition built around themes of contemporary
man's relationship to the environment. He is currently
working on photographic and video works, and is in the
planning stages of an epic science fiction masterpiece
of undetermined media. He has an MFA in painting from
Parsons School of Design. He does not play the bass guitar.

Joynt
If there is one thing John has learned from trial and error
it's that he has ineptitude towards memory. That being said,
he can be seen hitting the town in his sky blue leisure suit
until wee hours of morning. His hair like a polyester shirt
left in a broken drier. The burnt fringe strumming in unison
as he shoplifts amongst dwindling light of the zen casino. His
favorite movies are Momento and Groundhog Day in which when
asked were partially based on the script of his upcoming one
man Opera about a man-eating gopher that ate his homework in
high school thus requiring him to retake home economics for
the third time. Editor's note: he makes a mean pancake, though
we encourage him to forget his pride and re-enroll for a fourth
take at HS cooking. |
