Katharine Weber
is the author of the novels Objects in Mirror Are Closer
Than They Appear (1995), The Music Lesson (1999), a Chautaqua Literary
Circle selection, The Little Women (2003), which was a finalist for the
Paterson Fiction Prize, and Triangle (2006) which was a finalist for the
John Gardner Fiction Book Award and the Paterson Prize, won the 2007
Connecticut Book Award for Fiction, and has been named to the 2008 Dublin
Impac Literary Award long list. Her first three novels were named New York
Times Notable Books. She was named by Granta to the controversial list of 50
Best Young American Novelists in 1996. Currently a thesis advisor for the
graduate writing program at Columbia University School of the Arts,
Katharine Weber has taught fiction writing at Connecticut College, Yale,
Goucher College, and in the the Paris Writers Workshop. Her next novel will
be about a chocolate candy business.
